JOB DESCRIPTION


As Part of Our Team You Will:

  • Assess and Monitor inventory levels of spare parts to ensure availability for maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations team members to forecast spare part requirements.
  • Monitor and handle the lifecycle of critical assets, including procurement, use, and disposal.
  • Execute regular audits of spare parts inventory to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Assess spare part stock levels by evaluating usage trends and lead times.
  • Liaise with partners to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
  • Assess and update spare parts catalogs and material specifications for accuracy.
  • Execute and maintain asset management systems for tracking equipment and materials.
  • Prepare reports on asset performance, material usage, and spare part consumption.
  • Assist continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase asset reliability.


Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):

  • Degree or Diploma in an Electrical or Mechanical engineering field is highly desirable.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years work experience in planning and maintenance systems in a large mining operation or similar heavy industrial site.


Additional Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of the operation of the CMMS (SAP).
  • General knowledge of performance measures and their interpretation. 
  • General knowledge of defect elimination methodologies and their interpretation.


Technical skills:

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use maintenance planning tools (i.e. SAP).
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), CMMS/ERP and MS Project.
  • Advanced information monitoring and management skills.
  • Possess good planning and organizing skills.
  • Possess good time management and task prioritization skills.
