JOB DESCRIPTION
As Part of Our Team You Will:
- Assess and Monitor inventory levels of spare parts to ensure availability for maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations team members to forecast spare part requirements.
- Monitor and handle the lifecycle of critical assets, including procurement, use, and disposal.
- Execute regular audits of spare parts inventory to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Assess spare part stock levels by evaluating usage trends and lead times.
- Liaise with partners to ensure timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
- Assess and update spare parts catalogs and material specifications for accuracy.
- Execute and maintain asset management systems for tracking equipment and materials.
- Prepare reports on asset performance, material usage, and spare part consumption.
- Assist continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase asset reliability.
Formal Qualification (including Professional Registrations):
- Degree or Diploma in an Electrical or Mechanical engineering field is highly desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years work experience in planning and maintenance systems in a large mining operation or similar heavy industrial site.
Additional Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of the operation of the CMMS (SAP).
- General knowledge of performance measures and their interpretation.
- General knowledge of defect elimination methodologies and their interpretation.
Technical skills:
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use maintenance planning tools (i.e. SAP).
- Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), CMMS/ERP and MS Project.
- Advanced information monitoring and management skills.
- Possess good planning and organizing skills.
- Possess good time management and task prioritization skills.
