JOB DESCRIPTION


 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT & CONSTRUCTION (EPC)

  • Assist the EPC Project Team during the Construction, Installation, and Commissioning Phase.
  • Provide support with the review of Authorized for Construction drawings (AFCs), P&IDs, and commissioning checklists.
  • Provide support with the review of all Red Lines and As Built Drawings to confirm accuracy and compliance with original designs and modifications.
  • Assist in supervising and completing installation tasks during the construction phase, while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
  • Propose recommendations to the HSE team to develop strategies to improve health, safety, and environmental standards at all production systems.
  • Provide support with ensuring that warranty and punch list issues are effectively managed after commissioning of the plant.
  • Provide support with ensuring adherence with quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) standards.
  • Provide support with the selection of appropriate instruments such as transmitters, flow meters, and control valves for measuring and controlling parameters like pressure, temperature, flow rate, and composition and ensure these instruments are calibrated regularly to maintain accuracy.

OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE (OM)

  • Ensure the reliability and maintainability of the equipment installed.
  • Support the creation and implementation of a comprehensive asset maintenance plan, incorporating predictive, proactive, preventive, and corrective maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Utilize predictive and non-destructive testing methodologies to identify, isolate, and resolve inherent reliability issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the optimal use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to streamline maintenance tasks, track performance, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance operations.
  • Read and propose interpretation of blueprints, data sheets and specifications, control and wiring diagrams, list of instruments and signals, list of cables and materials, control loops, architectures and control philosophies, control narratives.
  • Provide input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact the plant operations.
  • Propose engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect the plant operations (capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance issues).
  • Work with the Operations Team to perform analysis of assets including asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness and other parameters that define operating condition, reliability, and costs of assets.
  • Execute predictive and preventive maintenance to eliminate catastrophic failures and unplanned maintenance.
  • For all activities that require a permit to work, prepare the supporting documentation.
  • Maintain required regulatory documentation updated.

PROCUREMENT & LOGISTICS

  • Provide support with all Purchase and Service Order Agreements relating to the maintenance of the plant.
  • Ensure materials are available for planned maintenance, overhauls, and mandatory inspections.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Master's degree in related field is a plus.
  • Multicultural experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in French is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in a similar role in the oil & gas industry, specifically at a Gas Conditioning Plant or NGL Terminal.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants, including Process Safety Management, OSHA regulations, EPA regulations, EEOC guidelines, and other federal and local requirements.
  • Familiarity with Instrumentation and Industrial Automation, Supervision Systems (SCADA and HMI), PLC-PAC programming, and industrial networks.
