Expatriate Head of School – International School (UK/USA Curriculum)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of School to provide strategic leadership and operational management across all aspects of the school. The ideal candidate will be an expatriate with a strong background in international education and extensive knowledge of either the British (Cambridge/IGCSE/A-Levels) or American (Common Core/AP) curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and academic leadership in line with the school’s vision, mission, and values.
• Oversee curriculum planning, development, and delivery aligned with UK or USA standards.
• Lead and inspire a diverse team of educators and administrative staff.
• Drive school improvement initiatives focused on academic performance, student well-being, and innovation.
• Maintain high standards of discipline, safety, and child protection.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, the board, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local and international educational standards and regulations.
• Manage budgets, facilities, staffing, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of 8–10 years in senior leadership roles (e.g. Principal, Headteacher, Director) in an international school setting.
• Proven experience with the UK or USA curriculum in an international context.
• Strong understanding of best practices in school administration, teaching, and learning.
• Cross-cultural leadership skills and experience working with diverse student populations.

Preferred Attributes:

• Expatriate with international leadership experience in Africa, Asia, or the Middle East.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop teaching staff.
