JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage CAPEX budgets for multiple projects.
- Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and identify variances.
- Prepare financial forecasts and risk assessments.
- Generate and present detailed financial reports on CAPEX performance.
- Collaborate with finance teams for monthly reporting.
- Develop financial models for CAPEX planning and scenario analysis.
- Establish and implement cost control mechanisms.
- Analyse project costs to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Assess the financial effects of vendor contracts and procurement activities.
- Support project teams in evaluating CAPEX proposals.
- Review and validate capital requests for compliance with policies.
- Track project cash flows and manage fund allocation.
- Serve as the point of contact for CAPEX-related financial matters.
- Communicate with the project manager, financial controllers, and senior leadership.
- Facilitate financial reviews and presentations
- Ensure CAPEX activities comply with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audits related to CAPEX processes.
- Implement strategies to manage financial exposure.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor or authorized delegate.
Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or professional qualification preferred).
- A Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and scheduling within the construction or project management industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, project management, or CAPEX control
- Sound knowledge of financial management, cost control, and capital budgeting
- Expertise in CAPEX budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Excel.
- Knowledge of project management principles and cross-functional collaboration.
