JOB DESCRIPTION


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead monthly forecasting efforts between Supply Chain, Sales, and Principal Development teams.
  • Receive, analyze, and enter all customer submitted forecasts into demand planning software.
  • Prepare monthly SIOP data files and support monthly meetings with cross functional teams.
  • Compare statistical forecast data with projected sales trends to highlight and correct imbalances in inventory positions.
  • Meet regularly with Inventory Managers to drive inventory optimization.
  • Manage data integrity related to system generated forecasts and customer submitted forecasts.
  • Participate in forecast improvement initiatives with Principal representatives.
  • Assist in managing inventories in impaired or expired status with emphasis in creating channels for movement.
  • Monitor department KPIs related to days inventory and impaired/expired goods to drive metric results and meet operating objectives.
  • Lead recertification efforts for product that is expired or near expiration.
  • Cross train to provide back-up support to Inventory Managers and Supply Chain Assistants.

Qualifications: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience:                                              

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Supply Chain Management or another related field preferred.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certificate preferred.
  • Previous chemical Industry Knowledge helpful.
  • 5 years’ experience in inventory management or procurement.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Excel using pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions and macros.
  • Ability to build and maintain custom reports.  PowerBI, SQL, Python and other analytical/coding skills are recommended.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be organized.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, determining what is critical and needs to be completed.
  • Self-motivated, honest, dependable and a high-level of integrity.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, well organized and strong analytical and math skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence.
  • Effectively present information as necessary in written and spoken form.
