JOB DESCRIPTION
You Will:
Track new and pending state legislative and regulatory proposals affecting the CPA profession.
Maintain internal tracking systems to facilitate information sharing
Collaborate with company partners, including state legislative and technical teams, to assess proposals and develop appropriate advocacy strategies.
Help draft legislative issue briefs, regulatory comment letters, and other advocacy materials.
Conduct policy research on state legislative and regulatory matters relevant to the CPA profession.
Support special projects led by the State Regulatory & Legislative Affairs team.
Provide administrative and operational support to the Associate Director – State Legislation & Regulation, Vice President – State Regulatory & Legislative Affairs, Assistant General Counsel, and other team members.
Help schedule meetings and support in preparation of materials for advocacy-related activities.
You Have:
Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, government affairs, business administration, communications, or a related field
3+ years' relevant experience legislative tracking, government affairs, regulatory research, public policy, or a related field.
Experience working with legislative or regulatory bodies, professional associations, advocacy organizations, or public affairs teams
Familiarity with state legislative and regulatory processes, including bill tracking and policy analysis,
