JOB DESCRIPTION
About the role:
- Implement and enforce Company’s security policies, procedures and protocols
- Ensure compliance with all relevant mining regulations, safety standards and environmental protocols (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements)
- Supervise daily security operations in the mine, ensuring the safety of people and the protection of assets
- Conduct /lead teams on regular patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Manage access to restricted areas within the mine, warding off illegal miners and other intruders.
- Prepare and submit daily reports to PS management
- Respond to and assist with the management of emergencies and incidents
- Assist with planning and conduct of security drills/simulations
- Ensure strict compliance with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of Senior high school education
- A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant security experience in a mining operation or with a relevant State Security Agency.
- Proven leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills with and the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures
- Must be trustworthy and demonstrate high level integrity
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite for report writing and data analysis.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Medically and physically fit for the position and environment
Valid Ghanaian driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicles
